How high is my rate now?
How much do you REALLY pay for electricity?
You probably know that we pay for electricity by the kiloWatt hour, or “kWh.”
To find out how much you pay per kWh with your current electricity provider, look at your current bill and find these words (or some paraphrase):
“The average price per kWh you paid for electricity this month is —-”
The numbers that follow those words will be expressed in “cents.” Here are examples of what you’ll see:
.137 or .161 or .169
These numbers mean 13.7 cents, 16.1 cents, and 16.9 cents respectively. Regardless of what your current electricity provider has told you your rate IS, the number expressed at the end of that phrase IS YOUR TRUE RATE.
Now, how does your TRUE RATE stack up against the low rate available through Round Rock Electricity as published on our home page? For electricity rates in Round Rock, we are hard to beat!
For every penny difference in your rate vs. our rate, you will save $10 for each 1000 kWh’s used. Many people in the Round Rock area are using well over 2000 kWh’s.
Here is an example of the savings: (actual customer example)
This customer uses around 3000 kWh’s during peak months. He had a rate almost 4 cents higher per kWh than our rate. Remember, at 1000 kWh’s used, you save $10 for every penny difference in the rates, so this customer saves about $40 per 1000 kWh’s with our low rate. With 3000 kWh’s used, he saves OVER $100 a month.
If you would like any help in determining your current rate, or deciphering what your savings would be, I invite you to call us and we will politely assist you.
Most people pay more than they should.
Don’t be one of them.
